3LOG’s LIMS system is being implemented at L&M Lumber in British Columbia, Canada

3LOG Systems Inc. has recently signed an agreement with L&M Lumber to implement its LIMS inventory management solutions and Weigh Scale Software Program at L&M’s site located in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. The Project is expected to be complete by the end of August 2003.

The implementation process will be done in three steps:

  1. License Acquisition
  2. Specification Development
  3. Implementation and Customization

3LOG’s consulting staff will first provide L&M Lumber with requirements analysis and system design. Following the specification and associated budget approval by L&M, 3LOG’s team will provide services in the areas of programming, systems implementation, documentation, and training.

LIMS integrates easily with external systems such as GIS, GPS, financial systems, weigh scales, handheld devices, and MS Office software. The open design capability of our system combined with our team’s expertise will help facilitate the integration of L&M’s existing woodlands and financial systems as necessary. With rapid deployment, LIMS will support L&M’s present needs and will be readily adaptable to future changes in the company’s accounting practices and business policies.

3LOG System has offered its WeighWizBC solution to L&M Lumber, which provides all the benefits of the WeighWiz weigh scale software. In addition, it guarantees compatibility with the new HBS Internet site. WeighWizBC is a BC specific version of our WeighWiz scale software. WeighWizBC collects all required information for delivered loads, so that even while operating in stand alone mode, a given weigh scale site is able to upload all required weigh scale load data to the new HBS internet site. Because data summarization requirements are configurable from the load delivery detail, WeighWizBC reduces the need to rollout new versions due to the changes in HBS requirements. For full benefit, L&M can use LIMS to submit load deliveries, sample, and piece/volume, receive electronic invoices/reconciliation information and automate MOF payment advice transactions.
