RICHMOND, B.C. – Following the completion of LIMS implementation at Boise’s North West Operations, 3LOG SYSTEMS will move on to the next step and provide Boise’s International Falls Mill with a single entry system. This gives Boise’s managers and executives the visibility to real time data, so that they can evaluate and act quickly based on current accurate data. Unnecessary mistakes are minimized and productivity is enhanced.
LIMS and WeighWiz will provide the Fibre Procurement Team with a greater depth of information, which is easier for the users to access. It will also be able to drastically reduce the “time to completion” for Fibre Procurement, Fibre Receipt, and Fibre Management tasks from days to hours, with little or no clerical staff involvement.
For example, the current Fibre Receipts system at International Falls Mill requires several people to enter data and load validations on hundreds of spreadsheets to create invoices, validate scale information and fibre receipts. At 3LOG, we target these imperfections and provide a seamless solution to eliminate all the required spreadsheets. We replace them with automated reports generated in LIMS to avoid all the repeat entries. The only validation will be as simple as printing report(s) and stapling the load tickets to the report(s), saving staff countless hours and work force.
