3LOG’s LIMS and WeighWizBC systems are being implemented at Lakeland Mills Ltd. in British Columbia, Canada

On March 30, 2004, 3LOG Systems Inc. has signed an agreement with Lakeland Mills Ltd. to implement its LIMS inventory management solution and Weigh Scale software at Lakeland’s site located in Prince George, British Columbia. Lakeland has chosen LIMS because they believe it can provide the standardized corporate solution that meets their needs.

Based on the requirements analysis, all the extra features and customization have been identified so that the key business practices associated with LIMS-related functionality are accounted for. Lakeland has also decided to use 3LOG’s WeighWizBC software to complement LIMS. WeighWizBC is a BC specific version of the WeighWiz scale software that guarantees compatibility with the new Harvest Billing System (HBS) Internet site. It complies with the requirements set out in the HBS Technical Specifications and has passed the HBS format edits. WeighWizBC is also capable of producing backup and scale site audit reports, and transferring electronic scale information to HBS.

LIMS has been designed to interface with a number of 3rd party financial systems and handheld devices. This ability was a key in being able to provide a total solution for Lakeland. The robust nature of LIMS allows it to integrate into any corporate IT infrastructure while giving a company the flexibility to keep the existing systems and practices in place.
