RICHMOND, BC – We are pleased to announce that TimberWest Forest Corp. has begun implementing 3LOG’s Log Inventory & Management System (LIMS) and plan to “go-live” in April 2006. LIMS, a comprehensive and integrated solution, will replace their existing Log Inventory Control system.
LIMS provides a centralized system to manage inventory data and integrates with company financial systems, production planning, and business intelligence systems.
3LOG’s software will benefit TimberWest by managing all raw material handling needs:
- LIMS – calculates contractor pay, tracks raw materials and inventory
- BoomWiz – manages boom inventory, boom trading, and water transportation
3LOG’s LIMS is a centrally managed inventory system, that covers areas from log delivery and processing to transportation, trading, invoicing, and payments. With its new technology, LIMS makes production information more readily available and enhances inventory management effectiveness.
TimberWest is the largest owner of private forestlands in Western Canada. The Company’s 334,000 hectares, located on Vancouver Island, provide a sustainable annual harvest of 2.5 million m3 of logs. TimberWest also owns annual Crown harvest rights for almost one million m3 of logs.
