Scotia power plant implements LIMS

Vancouver, BC, Canada – October 5, 2011 – 3LOG’s LIMS solution including WeighWiz and LabWiz are being installed at Greenleaf’s 28-megawatt power plant located in Scotia, California.

“Following the successful installation at Greenleaf’s Colmac power plant in September it was an easy decision to immediately roll-out the identical solution at the Scotia power plant.”, commented Rob Crummett, Fuel Director at Greenleaf Power.

In operation since 1988, the Scotia power plant uses mill residuals and other available biomass to provide heat and power to the town of Scotia and the adjacent saw mill.  Located on the timber-rich northern coast of California, abundant fuel is available from a variety of sources including mill residual, forest thinning, logging slash, green-waste sites and landfill diversion.  The facility sells its electricity under long-term contract to Pacific Gas & Electric.
