Key reasons for selecting 3LOG included the ability
to configure and manage contracts, ability
to operate in attended or unattended mode at the
weigh scale, accurate moisture and quality testing and the user friendliness of the solution.
One very important factor was being able to
implement the solution within a matter of weeks to
accommodate the transition of 2 retiring employees.
Rob Crummett, Fuel Director at Greenleaf Power's
Colmac plant said,
"We chose 3LOG because they are clearly the
leaders in the industry and their system offers far
superior features/functions in comparison to all the
other products available in the marketplace.
At this point we're ecstatic with our installation
- 3LOG's resources were great and the whole
implementation process couldn't have gone any smoother."
The Colmac power plant produces up to 47 megawatts of green energy and is one of the largest biomass plants in California. Greenleaf Power currently has a long-term agreement with Southern California Edison for the power produced at the Desert View facility. The facility uses a circulating fluidized bed technology, making it one of the more advanced biomass power facilities in North America.
