Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation operates a northern bleached kraft pulp mill in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. In June 2008, Northern Pulp was formed to acquire the Pictou Pulp Mill from Neenah Paper, Inc. Northern Pulp's kraft pulp is used by its customers in North America and Europe to manufacture consumer products such as paper towels, facial tissues and printing and writing papers. Today, the company is recognized as one of Nova Scotia's leading employers and directly employs over 200 people and produces over 250,000 air dried metric tons of NBSK annually.
