Daishowa-Marubeni Selects LIMS and WeighWiz

3LOG Systems of Richmond, BC, announced today that Daishowa-Marubeni
International Ltd. of Peace River, Alberta has purchased LIMS, the
whole system with nine modules, and 3LOG’s versatile WeighWiz
application. The implementation of this system will start in August
and will be fully operational by mid November 2001.
Daishowa-Marubeni International Ltd. (DMI), Peace River Pulp Division
(PRPD) produces approximately 400,000 air dry metric tones of bleached
Kraft pulp annually from approximately 1.3 million cubic meters
of hardwood fiber and 600,000 cubic meters of softwood fiber arriving
at the mill in the form of logs or chips from internal company sources
or external purchased sources.
Kevin Ledieu, DMI’s Harvesting Superintendent,
says “we had been evaluating alternative systems since 1998
and decided on LIMS. LIMS has empowered our neighbors to make fast
and accurate decisions and we look forward to making full use of
it at our operations.”
