LIMS implementation has
started at Plummer Forest Products

Richmond, B.C. – Plummer Forest Products, the first exclusive small log sawmill in
Idaho, has selected 3LOG’s LIMS (Log and Inventory Management
System) solution for their sawmill. Plumber Forest Products
operates their sawmill and 5-megawatt biomass energy plant in
Plummer, Idaho.
Plummer is implementing WeighWiz to manage log and chip receiving
activity at their weigh scales. WeighWiz is a real-time weigh
scale data collection and management system. It provides a
simple-to-use interface that allows the weigh scale operators to
quickly and accurately record information about loads.
LIMS provides Plummer with contract and inventory management,
payment processing and load management. Existing handheld
devices integrate with LIMS to seamlessly process scaled log
information.
Plummer Forest Products benefits with more timely and accurate
information. LIMS provides better control on their production
information, improving productivity and reducing operating costs.
Implementation began on March 1st, 2005. Plummer Forest
Products is scheduled to “go-live” on June 1st, 2005.
