Our first millennium customer, Vanderwell
Contractors, will aim for LIMS 4
March 2000
Our first millennium customer is Vanderwell
Contractors (1971) Ltd, who has recently placed an order for
LIMS. Vanderwell recognized that LIMS could enhance the forecasting
process with real-time planning information. Consequently, it improves
profit margins by lessening penalties and redundant data entries,
which allows the company to write flexible contracts and to make
better decisions on harvesting and purchasing. We have not yet received
any functional specifications for LIMS, but a project proposal has
been written and discussed with Vanderwell personnel. The project
will begin this month and end in late July or August this year,
depending on Vanderwell's functional specifications. By mid July,
we will have completed the installation and implementation, and
will be providing training tutorials on site. It is also important
to note that we are now developing a newer version of LIMS, and
that Vanderwell, as well as some other customers, will use this
new product. The new LIMS will have an enhanced graphical user interface,
easy menu shortcuts, and other new features that are currently being
developed. Please stay tuned for news of the release of LIMS 4.
Our on going research team explores new technologies and improved
methods for data management analysis, integrating multiple data
sources within LIMS, and data interchange.
