Control, Scale Control and Settlements system at Newstech Recycling
mills
July 2002
We are pleased to announce the completion of the
Purchasing, Inventory Control, Scale Control and Settlements system
at Belkorp Industries Inc. Newstech
Recycling mills in Canada. Implementation
of the system began in January 2002 and was fully operational on
July 01 2002.
Newstech Recycling is a manufacturer of de-inked pulp from post-consumer
newspapers and magazines. Recovered paper sources are located across
Canada and the United States. Each facility produces 165,000 metric
tonnes per annum of first quality pulp. This pulp is distributed
to newsprint mills and producers of other paper grades in Canada,
the United States and the Pacific Rim.
The new system provides Newstech with many benefits:
· Strong Purchasing control with flexible Purchase Order
generation and Supplier reporting
· Easy Receiving activity using flexible entry screens allowing
easy entry and editing
· Flexible unattended Scale activity for receiving and shipping
· Detailed transaction reporting
· Reliable management reporting
· Integration with Corporate Financials
3LOG and Newstech are working together to automate
manual tasks and improve work processes. Internal controls are being
reviewed and strengthened. 3LOG is helping Newstech operate more
efficiently.
