3LOG Systems has supplied
and implemented its LIMS system at Alberta Pacific Forest Industries’
pulp mill site in Boyle, Alberta.
January 2003
As part of the long-term strategic business plan, Alberta-Pacific
Forest Industries (Al-Pac) has decided to evaluate, acquire and
implement a Woodlands Information System. The System has implemented
and went live as of January 2003. This has been achieved through
3LOG’s successful partnership with INFORM. Our Log Inventory
Management System integrated with INFORM’s premiere forest
management tool, TheForestManager™, in combination with our
experienced development and applications support team, have provided
a solid solution to Al-Pac’s requirements.
INFORM is a leader in integrated forest management systems
and has an established client base for its products throughout Canada.
INFORM and 3LOG Systems enjoy a close working relationship, which
has developed from previous successful integration of the TFM (TheForestManager™)
and LIMS (Log Inventory Management Systems). The two companies function
as a tightly coupled project team, delivering the component parts
for seamless integration with clear communication, well defined
milestones and a structured project management methodology.
As part of our Al-Pac solution, we have utilized our
Inventory Management System, Version 4 (LIMS4) and unmanned weigh
scale systems with INFORM’s TheForestManager’s (TFM)
integrated solution. The 3LOG products have become the industry
standard for Alberta and their open architecture and Oracle database
provides for seamless integration with TFM.
As part of 3LOG’s commitment to customer service
and support and in conjunction with the TFM software solution, we
provide an in-depth support infrastructure including installation,
implementation, localization, training, helpdesk, and integration
with other systems. Al-Pac has undoubtedly considered the merits
of not only the woodland information systems that are available,
but also the project team that has built, deployed and will be supporting
the application.
